Camilla Dufva
I have always painted and created. It was first in 2011 I had the opportunity to dedicate myself wholeheartedly to art.
My main interest is painting, but I have also created in clay and devoted myself to textiles and various drawing techniques.
Interest in art was born at a young age. I grew up in Lerum municipality and went to school there. I have always had a vivid imagination and can easily recall images and see images in my mind. It's like a constant flow and a way of communicating.
I probably always wanted to be an artist and received a lot of encouragement during my school days. During school I made my first big artistic decision. It was possible to choose Aesthetic choice as a subject. For me, such an option felt just right and it was there that I got the chance to try different techniques in arts and crafts. During junior high school, I had my first exhibition. I still remember how surprised I was when a couple bought two paintings.
During high school, I studied sketching with an artist in Lerum. Krokin taught me a lot about working with the eye and hand, lines, shape and proportions.
After high school I went to evening school in oil painting in Gothenburg, then I studied full-time for three years at Dômen art school in Gothenburg.
At Dômen art school we had painting lessons for Tullan Fink, drawing lessons led by several Gothenburg artists including Olle Langert. Contemporary orientation with Lena Boethius. Graphics with Mats Jansson. We went on school trips to Helsinki, Oslo, Amsterdam and New York. We also had several student exhibitions.
Since then I have taken various courses in watercolor techniques, ceramics, plein air painting, sculpture and drawing techniques.
I have also had courses at ABF and taught Art and Aesthetics as well as Multimedia at various schools in Helsingborg.
I work with both acrylic and oil, and draw a lot. I enjoy designing products based on my art.
It's fun to share my creative joy. I have a small studio in Landskrona.
